Saturday, April 12th
Hours: 12pm - 4pmĀ
For flower lovers of all ages, join us for a lovely afternoon of self-guided flower picking on our sustainable flower farm. Stroll through our gardens and beds, handpick your favorite blooms, and enjoy the serenity of the fields as the birds chirp, the bees buzz, and spring makes everything alive again. We offer two "pick passes", one for adults and one for children. For those not picking flowers, entry is free!
All supplies is provided, including snips and child-safe scissors. We will have a wrapping station set up in the event barn for those who prefer to wrap and go. Our Farm Shop will also be open for those who wish to purchase a vessel or other supplies on their way out!
For those who wish to enjoy the weather and a packed lunch during their visit, you are welcome to find a table in the gardens or in the paddock to gather with your group.
How Many Flowers Can I Pick?
PickersĀ may pick as many flowers can fit in their closed hand (or up to 30 specialty blooms) - that's less than $1 a stem!! We extend the honor system here and discourage pickers from overstuffing - this actually damages your stems and leaves you with less bounty to take home!
What Varieties Will Be Available?
In April, we expect to be harvesting these specialty blooms (and more!): ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, anemones, Icelandic poppies, Dutch and double tulips, English daffodils, hellebores, and if we've timed this right... beautiful viburnum (think mini hydrangeas)!
What Should I Wear?
We recommend close-toed shoes and clothing that you could get a little dirt or water on! Attendees will be walking through our gardens harvesting their own flowers, potentially bending or kneeling for fresh cuts. Wear something comfortable and plan accordingly for weather!
Can I Bring My Own Vase?
Absolutely! You are welcome to fill it up at our water station and place the bouquet you've picked in your own vessel!
Inclement Weather Plan:
A gentle mist or light rain? The show will go on!
A downpour? We'll reschedule this event to Saturday April 19th, 1pm - 4pm. All attendees will be notified as soon as possible via email (and text, if you provide your number at checkout). If this event is rescheduled and you cannot attend on the new date, your ticket(s) will be kindly refunded!
